Least favorite word
Yesterday I was asked if I have a least favorite word.
I don’t, really. There aren’t specific words that bother me. I’m more annoyed when language is misused in certain ways.
Like, when “-esque” is tacked onto the end of a word in a last-ditch effort to make a complete word. It irks me. Irk is a word I learned in a hot classroom when I was eleven.
